The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree
We noticed that the United National Front has made it its personal mission to tarnish the clean reputation of some candidates that “dare” to oppose the candidacy of the “incorruptible” Sajith Premadasa. Some might have forgotten this, but we ought to remember some very important things if we are to move forward: it was Sajith’s late father, President Ranasinghe Premadasa, who brutally put down the revolts and killed many of its leaders back in the 90’s; it was Sajith’s late father who authorized a clandestine operation that supplied arms to the terrorists in LTTE, thus prolonging the civil war in Sri Lanka; it was Sajith’s late father’s fault for the horrendous massacre of Sri Lankan police officers that occurred in 1990, when the policemen were asked to surrender to the LTTE in Batticaloa at Premadasa’s request, after which they were killed with the very same weapons that Ranasinghe Premadasa had supplied the terrorist organization.
It is said that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. If his father was capable of such deplorable things, then what can be said about the son, Sajith Premadasa? Up until now, he lied to us about his past, he lied to us about his wealth, he has the audacity to support a Prime Minister that has almost put this country to its knees, and he has the audacity to ask people for their vote? Sajith’s family has done enough harm to this nation, the best thing he could possible do is to finally tell the truth to the Sri Lankan citizens and to reap what he has sown for decades.
